Nadya has been the custodian of the General Store for years, which is the word she’d use herself. She stocks what the community needs, champions local producers, and has a way of making everyone who walks in feel like they were expected. Hikers refuel here. Locals catch up here. Visitors discover things they didn’t know to look for.

The coffee is good. The local produce on the shelves is worth browsing slowly. Pick up bread, cheese, olives, a jar of something — you’ll have a better picnic for it, and you’ll be putting money directly into a business that puts it straight back into Pomonal.
