We are absolutely buzzing with excitement and pride to announce that Nook On The Hill has been named a finalist in the 2025 Victorian Tourism Awards!
To say we are over the moon is an understatement. To be recognised among the best in the state is a dream come true and it feels like a beautiful acknowledgment of the heart and soul we pour into creating a unique and memorable experience for our guests.
This journey has been a rollercoaster, especially with the recent challenges our community has faced. Two bushfires in two years really tested our resilience and there were moments where we wondered what the future held. To go from that period of uncertainty and stress to being celebrated at a state level feels incredibly significant. It’s a testament to the strength of our community and the unwavering support we’ve received.
This nomination isn’t just for us. It’s for every single guest who has chosen to stay with us, who has shared their special moments at the Nook and who has left a little piece of their story here. It’s for our incredible local partners, the wine makers, the bakers, the artisans and our wonderful housekeeper Kyle, all of whom help us provide a truly local experience. A rising tide lifts all boats and we are so proud to be part of this vibrant Grampians community.
We aren’t the only finalists from our area either, we’ll be sitting alongside some truly outstanding businesses from our region (thankfully all in different categories). A big shout out to Pomonal Estate, Mount William Station and Wimmera Steampunk Festival for all being named as finalists as well. The Grampians Represents!
Interestingly, 25 years ago my parents won this award in the Unique Accommodation category, for their own creation, Grampians Pioneer Cottages. We’ll be holding our breath until the awards ceremony, but for now, we are just soaking it all in and feeling profoundly grateful. Thank you Pomonal community, we couldn’t have done it without you.
Warmly,
Benj & the Nook On The Hill family
We acknowledge that Nook On The Hill sits on Djab Wurrung country and pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging.
