Go Gnome Hunting! The New Summer Fun Initiative in Halls Gap

The Halls Gap community spirit is glowing brighter than ever! Following the huge success of the winter GLOW festival, locals were keen to keep the momentum going and have launched a fun, interactive initiative for visitors this summer: The GLOW Summer Gnomes Hunt.

If you’re staying in Halls Gap between now and February, you’ve got a fantastic mission waiting for you in town!

The Hunt for the Ten Missing Gnomes

Ten mischievous native Australian gnomes have “gone missing” and wandered into public spaces and local businesses across the Halls Gap township. Your job is to find them all!

This playful activity is a great way to explore the heart of Halls Gap and support local businesses. Importantly, none of the gnomes have wandered into the National Park, so keep your search centered around the town.

The Prize: Win a 2026 Winter Getaway

Each time you spot a gnome, you can scan the accompanying QR code to enter the draw. If you manage to locate all ten gnomes, you’ll earn ten entries!

The prizes are incredible: four winter getaway packages for the official 2026 GLOW festival, including accommodation, activities, and dining experiences—all donated by local businesses. It’s a true reflection of the resilience and collaboration in this little Grampians town.
