Winter mornings at the Nook begin with a long, slow breath of mountain air, infused with that familiar, invigorating scent of eucalypt. Mist catches on the sandstone escarpment before slowly melting away as the sun gently warms the ridge. It is a time for wandering through the garden, warm tea in hand, gathering a few stems along the way while the local wildlife go about their business, unbothered.

The middle of the day belongs to the unhurried. This little house on the hill is for slow living; a space for the quiet ritual of preparing a favourite meal, for wrapping up in a blanket and losing an afternoon to a book, or for tracing the ever-changing textures of the mountain face as the light shifts across the landscape.

As dusk descends, evenings are for soaking in the outdoor bath beneath the stars and settling by the fire with a glass of local red. There is no programme here. No shared walls. No other guests. Just a deep, restorative silence that allows the noise of life to finally fall away.
